Spring Women's Retreat
Saturday, May 31
10:00AM - 4:00PM
Love & Grit Farm (Germantown, MD)
In a world that constantly pulls you in every direction, it is easy to lose touch with your own needs.
Our one-day Women’s Wellness Retreat is your invitation to reconnect with yourself, nature, and each other in a peaceful farm setting. Hosted by the Feminine Yoga Collective in collaboration with Love and Grit Farm and Where the Good Grows, this retreat offers more than just a break—it’s a reset.
You’ll experience the simplicity of living mindfully and intentionally in nature, through yoga, somatic practices, hands-on time in the medicinal herb garden, and a nourishing tea ritual. All of this will unfold in nature, where connection to the earth and to each other happens with ease and meaning.

Retreat Schedule
10:00 - 10:30: Arrival & Welcome
Check-in and a Welcome Circle to set intentions.
10:30 - 11:00: Intro to Somatic Expericing
Join DeAnna for a introduction to Somatic Experiencing®. Through guided instruction, you'll learn how to mindfully connect with your body and surroundings, helping you ground, center, and become present. This practice is a beautiful way to deepen your self-awareness and create a sense of calm and ease as you enter into this retreat.
11:00 - 12:00: Ignite Our Prana: Revitalizing Vinyasa Yoga
With the energy of spring around us, we will awaken our life force energy with this vinyasa practice designed with ancient wisdom in mind to stimulate the detoxification process of the liver, remove stagnant energy within the body, and invigorate the mind and soul so enable us to flourish like the plants around us do this season.
12:00 - 12:30: Break with Refreshments
12:30 - 1:30: Dirt Therapy
Take a walk through Love and Grit Farm's newest addition - a medicinal plant garden! Farmer Kristin Rydland and Clinical Herbalist Erin Antosh will show you how nutrient-rich compost is made on the farm, and how that compost impacts the medicinal value of the native therapeutic plants in the garden. You will learn about the health supportive properties of the botanicals growing in the garden, which therapeutic plants grow well in our area, and how to harvest your own locally grown medicine. You will have the opportunity to plant some medicinal herbs in the garden, and learn about the amazing (and well researched) mind-body benefits of getting your hands in living soil as well as kicking off your shoes and "grounding."
1:30 - 2:15: Farm to Table Lunch provided by Pumpernickel & Rye
Pumpernickel + Rye is a down-to-earth, homegrown market and new school deli with a modern vibe where our goal is to fulfill your body + soul cravings.
2:15 - 2:45: The Power of Tea for Optimal Health
Most people think of herbal teas as a simple soothing beverage, but if made properly, herbal teas (tisanes) can be potent tools for healing and maintaining health. Clinical Herbalist Erin Antosh, Founder of Where The Good Grows, will discuss the power of incorporating an herbal tea ritual into your day as both a mindfulness practice as well as a tool for supporting your health. As you sip on nutritive herbal tea (caffeine free), Erin will demonstrate how to properly make medicinal-strength herbal teas, using methods such as super infusions and decoctions so you get the most health benefits out of the medicinal plants. We will go beyond the standard peppermint and chamomile teas to introduce you to less common herbs that have powerful therapeutic properties. You will learn about therapeutic plants that reduce inflammation, support heart health/cholesterol, address anxiety and depression, as well as herbs that are so relaxing that they can be used as sleep aids, and herbs that support your body’s detoxification pathways. And all of these powerful plants can be easily incorporated into your day in the form of tea! NOTE: Includes a bag of herbal loose leaf tea with locally grown Spring plants for every participant to take home as well as educational materials. Each participant will get to plant one baby herb in the medicinal plant garden. Erin will prepare a seasonal herbal tea for participants to sip on while she does the tea demo (we can use small compostable cups for this if we want to do the demo in the garden or we can use Kristin's tea cups and saucers).
2:45 - 3:15: Mindfulness Practice and Reflection
This guided meditation practice is designed to gently bring the retreat experience together. You'll be invited to reflect on your journey, integrate what’s unfolded, and create space for journaling and quiet contemplation.
3:15 - 4:00: Closing Circle
Closing circle to share reflections and experiences from the day. A moment to celebrate the connections made and the personal growth experienced throughout the retreat.
Note - The schedule is a guide and may change with the needs of the group.
